Definition

Anchor Activity -  “These are tasks students automatically move to when they complete assigned work. Teachers may provide a list of possible anchor options and should encourage students to suggest other ideas. Anchor activities must be important to essential student learning and not just time-fillers. In classes with flexible pacing, all students will need anchor options” (Tomlinson & Strickland, p. 349).
